Index startup does not call `findFiles` or ripgrep / `searchtext.exe`.
The native workspace scan ( single_sync_walk ) is the one directory walk.
Overlapping rediscover and sync callers share that in-flight scan.
The scan applies `.rqignore` ( nonblocking_index ).
