Interactive HTML export graph boot and layout settle must not monopolise the main thread on large graphs.
Page chrome ( nav, filters, search, other controls ) should stay responsive while the graph initialises.
Graph wiring should start after the first paint / idle opportunity rather than synchronously blocking `DOMContentLoaded`.
When Live physics is off, the initial batch settle should run in yielded chunks ( animation frames or idle callbacks ) so the browser can paint and handle input between steps; keep the boot spinner until the first usable canvas frame, then show progressive settle status.
A new filter / refresh or remount must cancel any in-flight background settle before starting another.
