Hosts that consume the native core ( and helper CLI tools such as `git` / `node` )
must not open a visible console window.
On Windows, a GUI editor host that spawns a console-subsystem process without
`CREATE_NO_WINDOW` / `windowsHide` flashes a CLI window.
Git-dates fill in the core engine and Activity Bar git history were the
repeating flashes after `.rq` change; the language-server Node probe can flash once
at start on old hosts.
Index parse itself stays in-process ( napi `.node` / `.dll` ) and does not spawn a console.
