A set of command_palette functions that add the selected idea, ideaset, or file to the chat.
Commands: Add Idea / Ideaset / File to **Current** Chat ( primary ) and to **New** Chat ( secondary ); category Reqlan.
Uses the idea / ideaset under the cursor ( or ideas overlapping the editor selection ) when in a. rq file; otherwise QuickPick.
Primary: inject `#requirement` / `#file` context into the **current** chat input without submitting.
Secondary: open a **new** chat / agent session, then seed the same payload into its input.
Discoverability: editor context uses a **Reqlan: Add to Chat** submenu ( current + new for idea / ideaset / file ). Palette titles name Current vs New explicitly.
Host APIs ( Cursor vs VS Code ) — see open-chat helper:
- Cursor: `workbench.action.chat.open` always creates a **new** tab ( `openInNewTab: true` ); do **not** use it for current-chat.
Current = `composer.focusComposer` + paste; New = `composer.createNew({ openInNewTab: true, partialState: { text, richText } })`.
- VS Code Copilot: current = `workbench.action.chat.open` + `isPartialQuery: true`; new = `workbench.action.chat.newChat` then open.
Clipboard fallback when no chat command is available.
Host open helper: open-chat.ts ( `target: 'current' | 'new'` ).
Activity bar search hits: search_add_to_chat — split button with ▾ menu.
